We are TEAM CANYONS and we are dedicated to the Middle Fork and The River of No Return rivers, to one another, and most of all, to YOU, our guest on the river.
Floating these free-flowing rivers is an extraordinary wilderness experience and a unique, human-powered way to travel through the largest wilderness area in the lower 48 states. Whether you are with a family or traveling as an individual, a newbie rafter or avid Class V kayaker, a bacon lover or a vegan, we are here to make sure this is YOUR personalized vacation of a lifetime.
SO….What the heck is a rafting trip, anyway?
HERE IS THE NUTSHELL DESCRIPTION…
A rafting trip is like no other way of travel. Each Canyons trip is different in its own authentic way. A group of as many as 24 guests and 6 guides spend six or twelve days on one of our amazing rivers traveling nearly 100 miles. The days and nights are spent exploring and essentially “regally” camping along the beaches and banks. So yes, it is a camping trip… but with fabulous dinner parties and unexpected luxuries. One of the coolest things about a rafting trip is all ages and physical abilities can share this magnificent landscape, world class white water, and magical outdoor experience together.
If you are new to all this…We invite you to peruse more of our website. Check out RIVER LIFE section for a typical day. And look up our Frequently Asked Questions in the LOGISTICS section.

Gay Rafting
Annually we offer an LGBT specific trip. This year we bring to you ‘Wine & Whitewater’ on Idaho’s famous Middle Fork of the Salmon, August 22-27, 2017. The Middle Fork is a spectacular float through the largest designated wilderness in the lower 48 states. Enjoy geo-thermal hot springs, exhilarating whitewater, camping among Idaho’s stoic Ponderosa Pine, gourmet food and delicious wines from around the world. By day, choose to play in your own inflatable kayak, join a social paddle boat or relax while taking in the beauty and history on a guided oar raft. From camp, embark on scenic hikes, try your hand at deep pool trout fishing, play games, enjoy time around the campfire or indulge yourself in some solo time.
Traveling down the river for 6 or 12 days, the group becomes a tribal community that moves together day to day, making and breaking camp, sharing food, playing on the water, learning about each other and about the surroundings. It’s a truly unique way to spend time with yourself and other people, sharing space, appreciating the outdoors and embracing the calming effect of being completely unplugged.
With our ‘Wine & Whitewater’ theme this year you can expect to find some new favorites, whether you prefer reds, whites or rose! Our team sommelier will treat your palette to a world variety of old and new world wines, enhanced by our regionally local, 5 star cuisine, prepared fresh for you, by our colorful guides.
