Melanie Shapiro, Esq – Immigration Lawyer

Melanie Shapiro graduated from University of Rhode Island summa cum laude receiving the Robert A. Rainville Leadership Award, the President’s Award for Academic Excellence, and completed a distinguished thesis as part of the honors program.

She attended Roger Williams University School of Law, where she was a Public Interest Scholar. She won an award for her work in the Immigration Clinic.

Attorney Shapiro is co-founder of Citizens Against Trafficking. She specializes in immigration law, sex trafficking, and domestic violence. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association.

She is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts, in the Federal District Court of Massachusetts, in Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the First Circuit Court of Appeals.
