The Perfect Sweet Shoppe specializes in macarons, and many other products that owner, Tracy Woodard, loves to bake.
In addition, Tracy began producing confections from her developing WANT Chocolate line; a line of rustic chocolates and caramels that she has been working on for the past couple of years.
It is a combination that is a natural addition to her “sweet life” of making macarons and cakes and cookies and brownies and cupcakes and…
Tracy’s little Sweet Bakery provides a welcoming atmosphere serving locally roasted and AMAZING Borealis Coffee which can be sweetened with their own line of Perfect Sweeteners natural flavorings, as well as, other locally sourced drinks, including Yacht Club Soda and Granny Squibbs Iced Tea.
In the colder months, they make their own European Style Drinking Chocolate (hot chocolate that is made from actual melted chocolate) mixed with sugar and milk…simple, rich, delicious! In the warmer months they have fresh squeezed lemonade and iced tea.
MEET OWNER TRACY WOODARD:
“I love color. I love sweets. I love texture. I also love details and I love a challenge. When I discovered macarons for the first time, they combined all of these things. They were “the Perfect Sweet,” if you will. I confess I’ve never even been to France. I discovered these amazing little treats while traveling the good ole’ US of A with my husband, and I decided that I needed to figure out how to make them. They were nowhere to be found near me; and while I could order them online, the cost was prohibitive. I was on a mission to figure out how to make them and how to make them right. I learned quickly that there’s a reason these delicious little treats have a reputation for being, how shall I say…difficult… The irony was that the very first batch I ever made turned out absolutely perfectly! They were pink, with a smooth crisp outer shell, perfectly raised feet, with a soft chewy center. I couldn’t have been happier and I remember thinking, “what’s the fuss all about?” And, then I tried my second batch. Needless to say, it was 100 batches later before I became confident that I could make a batch that I would be comfortable putting my name on; and I’m not exaggerating! I am obsessed with these perfect little sweets and there’s nothing I love more than coming up with different combinations of flavor and color. They are not only a perfect little dessert treat, but they can serve as a centerpiece or accent or favor, as well! They make a great little gift! The possibilities are endless and I’m so proud to be able to share them!”
